NEW YORK, Jan. 21, 2021 – In keeping with an annual tradition, the Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I) will hold its Joint Industry Forum (JIF), Virtually Together: Insuring Our Way Forward, on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021 starting at 11 a.m., ET.
Registration is already underway. There is no charge to join the event online.
The JIF will include three sessions, all of which touch on issues facing insurers, reinsurers, and public policymakers.
- Trade Winds Navigation: More Rough Waters or Smooth Sailing Ahead?
Four CEOs from major insurance industry trade associations—Charles Chamness, president and CEO, National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC); Peter Miller, president and CEO, The Institutes; Frank Nutter, president, Reinsurance Association of America (RAA), and David Sampson, president and CEO, American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA)—will share their perspectives and public policy priorities for 2021. Sean Kevelighan, CEO, Triple-I, is the panel’s moderator.
- Climate Change Risk & Resilience: Facing the Facts
Natural disasters and extreme weather events are occurring with greater frequency and intensity. To discuss the implications of this trend, the Triple-I has convened a panel which includes Tim Adams, president and CEO, Institute of International Finance; Susan Holliday, senior advisor, International Finance Corporation/The World Bank Group; and Carolyn Kousky, executive director, Wharton Risk Management and Decision Processes Center. Dr. Michel Leonard, vice president and senior economist, Triple-I, will moderate the panel.
- CEO Fireside Chat
Richard Creedon, Chairman of the Board and CEO, Utica National Insurance Group, will engage in a one-on-one conversation with the Triple-I’s Kevelighan about the issues top of mind for industry leaders. Creedon, who also serves as the Triple-I’s board chairman, will discuss where the insurance industry has been and where it is going.
Those who join the Thursday, Jan. 28, virtual Joint Industry Forum will be charged a discounted registration fee if they also attend a second JIF scheduled for Wednesday, June 9, 2021, in Washington, D.C. Those who wish to join the June 2021 event online will be able to do so.
