Media Advisory: Triple-I Experts Are Able to Discuss the Insurance Implications of California’s Wildfires Amid Statewide Emergency

NEW YORK, August 20, 2020 —Reporters covering California’s wildfires are encouraged to contact the Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I) for interviews and analysis.

The SCU Lightning Complex’s multiple blazes are collectively the largest ones in the state, impacting the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE).  In addition, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a statewide emergency this week.
