NEW ORLEANS, March 22, 2013 — Reporters covering the 2013 National Hurricane Conference, to be held March 25-28, 2013, at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside are encouraged to attend two events featuring the Insurance Information Institute’s (I.I.I.) Lynne McChristian.
 
Ms. McChristian, the I.I.I.’s Florida representative, is moderating a panel discussion on Monday, March 25, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, in the hotel’s third floor Melrose Room. The topic: How to Read Your Insurance Policy: What Did I Buy and How Does It Work
 
Her guests will be Blythe Lamonica of the Gulf State Insurance Information Center and Harris, DeVille & Associates, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Richard Clements, vice president and treasurer, National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, who is from Chalmette, Louisiana.
 
On Tuesday, March 26, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., in the hotel’s third floor Magnolia Room, Ms. McChristian will preside at a ‘Rap Session’ on Natural Disasters and Insurance. She will be joined by Dr. Robert Detlefsen, vice president, public policy, National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), and Colonel Joseph Booth, executive director, at Louisiana State University’s (LSU) Stephenson Disaster Management Institute.
