William J. “Bill” Davis serves as a regional media relations representative in the southeast for the Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I)—the industry-sponsored media and consumer information organization for the property and casualty insurance industry. He is based in Atlanta and is responsible for institute activities in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

He has been with the Triple-I since March 1982 and before that he served as a regional manager of corporate communications for United Airlines in Atlanta and Orlando. Bill also spent five years as public information officer for the city of Birmingham, Alabama. His professional career began as a radio and television news reporter and anchorman in Birmingham at Channel 13—an NBC affiliate. During his career, Bill has received a number of awards for his work in public relations and journalism, including from the Southern Public Relations Federation, the Public Relations Council of Alabama and the Society of Professional Journalists. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast and Film Communication.
