NEW YORK, January 7, 2014 — The latest edition of the Insurance Information Institute’s (I.I.I.) popular Insurance Fact Book is now available. Regarded as the most comprehensive and authoritative resource of its kind, the Fact Book is a go-to resource for reporters, businesses, regulators, legislators, researchers, students and anybody who needs to understand the insurance industry.
“The I.I.I. remains a vital source for the media and the public, which rely on the I.I.I.’s expanding suite of information products and its expert staff for objective, credible, timely information,” said Dr. Robert P. Hartwig, CPCU, economist and president of the I.I.I.
The Insurance Fact Book includes hundreds of statistical tables and charts documenting the size and composition of the insurance industry, including information on the auto and home insurance markets; commercial insurance (workers compensation, liability insurance, mortgage guaranty and financial guaranty insurance); cost drivers (litigation, fraud and medical costs and other factors); and catastrophes (including hurricanes, earthquakes, terrorism and other disasters).
The Fact Book can be purchased by calling 212-346-5500, via email at publications@iii.org or from the I.I.I.’s online store at www.iii.org/store. Discounts are available for member companies or for multiple copies. A PDF of the I.I.I.’s flagship publication can be downloaded online and a Kindle version will be available shortly from Amazon.
